I am 26 years old and married. I am studying a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology thanks to a scholarship that was offered to me when I won the Bible connection contest, this scholarship gives me the opportunity to study two years of the career.
I am Venezuelan, my family’s economy did not allow me to study in an Adventist college or university, however God gave me the opportunity to be a light for my classmates and teachers. In high school I was diagnosed with a disease called mild absence seizures, a type of epilepsy. When I had the seizures, my mind would go blank for a few seconds or even minutes and I didn’t realize it because my body kept moving while my mind was paralyzed. I started taking a medication, but the crisis intensified in my country and the time came when I could not get it anymore. At that moment I prayed and told God, if I don’t get the medicine it is because you are going to heal me and God did it.
I am an Adventist by birth and I have always been interested in prophecy topics, and when I realized that the book that was going to be studied in Bible Connection 2022 was Revelation I decided to participate. I never imagined how far this decision would take me. God allowed me to win the contest in its different stages and finish in the first position at the Division level. There, I was offered six different-equal-equal-equal-equal college and university. My wife and I prayed and we believe that God’s answer was for us to accept to come to ULV. Studying here is to see the way God directs my life, it is an answer to a prayer, because God opened doors that humanly were impossible to open.
I dream of going with my wife wherever God sends us and teaching the Word to many people.
