I am studying theology. I have always had a fervent desire to serve God and his church. I learned about Linda Vista University from some colporteurs who came to my house and since then I have had the desire to study here someday.
I studied the basic levels in the public system, the environment there is not very friendly, but we did not have the financial resources to access the Adventist school, even so my parents taught me to seek resources to meet my expenses. When I entered high school my mother became ill with cancer and finally rested three years later. My dad and I took care of my five-year-old sister.
In high school, I decided to study at the Adventist College, since it was my desire since I was a child, so the summer before I started selling candy, food and bread. When I entered the school, I quickly became known for my tenacity and determination, so they offered me special scholarships that allowed me to graduate from that level there.
Being at ULV is one of the best experiences I have had, because I believe that God is fulfilling his dream in me. Of course being here is a great challenge, especially financially, since my father does not have the solvency to support me, but I strive every day to stay here. God has manifested himself in a very special way, working small and big miracles through the teachers and the institution. During vacations and during the school year, I look for ways to generate the resources for my tuition. I am convinced that the colportage is an opportunity to share the gospel. I firmly believe that God has brought me this far and will sustain me.
I dream of being a pastor who can contribute to the advancement of the work, because I look forward to the day when Jesus returns and I can meet again with my loved ones who are already at rest.
