I am 22 years old and I study Public Accounting at Linda Vista University. For me, studying at Linda Vista University is a miracle.

When I was about two years old, my dad went to the United States to work and soon we never heard from him again. My mom decided to return with her family and we went to live in a border city with the hope of having a better income. My mom’s health was affected by diabetes and seeing that the financial situation was not improving, my dad’s family offered to help my mom with the older children. My mom initially did not want to, but our financial situation was very difficult so she finally accepted and at the age of 10 I came to live with one of my aunts. My aunt took care of me from then on and I still live with her. My mom’s illness became complicated so she finally passed away in 2021 and I brought my younger sister to live with us.

God through the circumstances that have surrounded me has taught me not to stop and to fight for what I want, so despite the financial challenge of studying at ULV, every day I put my effort to continue. I work during vacations and during the course I look for ways to generate income with other sales. The university supports us with a special scholarship percentage in consideration that my aunt is an employee.

ULV has been a place of transformation for me, it has changed my way of being and of relating with others and with God. The colporate has given me tools that I am sure will help me in my professional practice.

I dream of finishing my career and being able to continue improving myself academically as far as God allows me. I want to have financial stability that will give me the opportunity to help others, especially my aunt who has supported me so much.

I know that God is still working in me and that he has not completed his miracle.
